Verifiers we retired dedicated pages for, briefly

EmailListVerify - at six-figure volumes it costs less per check than almost anyone (their site advertised $1.86/1K at 100K, reviewed 2 Aug 2026), and their credits never expire either. If a flat Valid/Invalid/Risky verdict is all your workflow needs, it is a credible budget pick; the trade is depth - no per-signal evidence on the risky middle of your list.
Verifalia - sells verification in quality levels (Express / Standard / Premium), so price and depth move together; its API returns granular status codes. EU company, GDPR-covered like us. Free tier is per-day (25/day when last reviewed) rather than per-month.
Truemail (open source) - a capable self-hosted Ruby gem: you trade a vendor bill for server cost, Ruby dependency upkeep, and owning deliverability and compliance yourself. For small volumes self-hosting can genuinely be comparable in cost; at scale the ops time dominates.
Mailfloss - a different model, not a worse one: it auto-cleans inside your ESP (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign) on a subscription, and per-email it can be cheaper than us. You cannot point it at a CRM export or a purchased list, and idle months still bill - that is the trade.
