Salesloft Review 2026
Revenue Orchestration Assessed

Salesloft acquired Drift in 2023 and rebranded as a revenue orchestration platform. We assessed what that means in practice, how it compares to Outreach, and the one gap every Salesloft team hits on deliverability.

What Salesloft Does Best

✓ Conversation intelligence and coaching

Salesloft Conversation Intelligence (inherited from its recording feature and enhanced post-Drift) transcribes, analyzes, and scores sales calls. Managers get a dashboard showing which reps are using competitive talk tracks, handling objections effectively, and following call frameworks. AI-generated coaching recommendations surface automatically after each call. For sales managers who want visibility and coaching leverage across a 10+ rep team, this is Salesloft primary differentiator from Outreach.

✓ Cadence sequences are mature and reliable

Salesloft Cadences are polished, widely adopted, and deeply documented. The sequence builder is less complex than Outreach but more accessible for frontline reps to configure independently. Branching logic, task automation, and A/B testing are all available. For teams where reps need to build and manage their own sequences without RevOps support, Salesloft cadence builder is easier to adopt than Outreach equivalent.

✓ Drift conversational marketing integration

Salesloft now includes Drift (chatbot and conversational marketing) in its platform. Sales teams can see which prospects are engaging with the company website via Drift conversations and trigger Cadences based on site intent signals. This cross-channel visibility - knowing a prospect just had a chat conversation before receiving a Cadence email - gives reps useful context that pure outbound platforms do not provide.

✓ Revenue intelligence and deal forecasting

Salesloft AI provides deal health scores, pipeline risk signals, and forecast accuracy analysis. It surfaces deals at risk based on email engagement drop-off, meeting frequency, and CRM stage velocity. For VP Sales and CRO-level users, this forecasting layer is a core reason to choose Salesloft over lower-priced alternatives.

Where Salesloft Falls Short

✗ Pricing - enterprise-only, no self-serve

Salesloft has no self-serve signup, no free trial, and no month-to-month pricing. Getting started requires a sales call, a proof-of-concept, contract negotiation, and typically a 6-12 month commit. The process takes 4-8 weeks for most companies. Teams that need to move fast should look at Instantly or Reply.io, which offer self-serve signup and value on day one.

✗ No email address verification

Salesloft does not check whether the email addresses in your Cadence contacts are valid. CRM data decays at 22% per year - contacts enrolled in Salesloft Cadences from 12+ months ago have significant invalids. These produce hard bounces on send, damaging the email accounts connected to Salesloft. Verify with BounceZero before every new Cadence import.

✗ Drift integration adds complexity

The Drift acquisition improved Salesloft channel coverage but also added platform complexity. Revenue teams now have two distinct UIs (Salesloft Cadences and Drift conversations) that are loosely integrated rather than unified. Some teams report that managing both surfaces increases administrative overhead rather than reducing it.
