A public, verifiable trust badge for email lists - the equivalent of an SSL padlock, but for the quality of a list rather than the security of a connection. When an agency or sender verifies a list with BounceZero, they can display a badge that links back to an independent, dated List Health Score.

What it proves

The badge is only meaningful because it is verifiable. It is not a graphic anyone can paste on; it is served from bouncezero.io and links to a specific report at a non-guessable URL. Click any real badge and you see the same independent health score the sender saw - grade, predicted bounce rate, and how the list compares to the network benchmark. The link is the proof; the image is just the invitation to check.

Why it carries a date - and ages

This is the part most "verified" badges get wrong, and the part we care about most. Our own research shows that a clean list has a half-life measured in weeks: of addresses verified valid and re-checked past 90 days, only about one in five is still valid. A trust badge that claimed a list was "verified" forever would therefore be lying - quietly, but lying.

So the badge shows its own age and degrades honestly. Fresh in the first month, it reads "verified this month." Past a month it says "aging - re-verify soon." Past ninety days it says "may have decayed." We would rather the badge tell the truth about time than flatter the list. A verification is a snapshot, not a warranty, and the badge is built to say so.

What it does not claim

Plainly, so no one can misread it: the badge does not certify that a sender is reputable, that their content is wanted, or that recipients opted in. It attests to one specific, measurable thing - that this list was run through independent verification on a given date, and what the result was. It is a statement about list hygiene, not about consent or intent, and we will never let it be dressed up as more than that.

How to use it

Verify a list, open its report, and copy the embed snippet under "Embed this badge." Drop it on your site, in a proposal, or in a client deliverable. It renders as a small image and links back to the live report - which means it updates its freshness state on its own, without you touching the embed.
