A reachable lead is a lead with at least one working contact channel: an email verified valid within the last 90 days, a phone number that connects, or a social profile that responds. Reachability is the third dimension of lead quality after fit and intent, and the one most scoring models omit. A list that is 80% fit and 98% reachable outperforms one that is 95% fit and 70% reachable, because an unreachable lead with a perfect score is a row, not a conversation.
Reachable share is confirmed-valid records divided by all records, measured monthly. Benchmarks from the 2026 corpus: non-freemail lists 32.6% confirmed valid with 27% unconfirmed; freemail-heavy lists 74%; gmail.com addresses 96%. A maintained database with verification on entry runs at 70% and above.
In scoring, reachability is applied as a multiplier rather than a bonus, so it caps the score of a dead record at zero whatever its fit and intent. The sales leads guide shows the weights.
Two lists of 1,000: a bought .au list at 36.5% invalid and 17.6% unknown, and an inbound list validated at the form. Reachable share is roughly 40% for the first and 92% for the second. The inbound list produces more conversations despite being a quarter the size of what the bought list claimed.
