CHAMP is a lead qualification framework that reorders BANT to start with the prospect's Challenges, then Authority, Money and Prioritisation. The change is deliberate: opening with the problem produces a conversation, opening with budget produces a defensive answer. It suits mid-market deals where a single buyer can decide but needs convincing, and it treats a lead with a real challenge and no budget as a nurture candidate rather than a disqualification.
Challenges are captured as the prospect describes them, in their words, and mapped to the product's capabilities. Authority asks who else is involved rather than whether this person signs. Money asks what the problem costs. Prioritisation asks where this sits against the prospect's other projects, which is BANT's timing with more honesty.
Like every framework, CHAMP presumes a working channel. A challenge-led conversation cannot start with an address that bounces; verification sits before the first question, not inside the framework.
A sales lead at a 30-person SaaS company says reply rates fell from 6% to 2% in two months. Challenge: deliverability collapsed after a list purchase. Authority: he decides tooling up to $500. Money: the lost pipeline is about $20,000 a quarter. Prioritisation: fixing it is this month's job. The verification conversation starts from the challenge, with the bounce rate as the number to recover.
Verify a list or a single address. 100 free checks a month, unknowns refunded.
